Drink to the Solstice: Summer Solstice Iced Tea

Celebrate the summer solstice with a tall, cool glass of brilliant red iced tea, an infusion of red hibiscus with its characteristic citrus tang, flavored with cinnamon and mint, plus a splash of lime. It’s delicious as a cold drink on any hot day, but it’s also loaded with correspondences to solstice energy. Add it to your solstice rituals, or simply toast the day. We like to keep a glass milk bottle full of the tea in the refrigerator, handy anytime we want a refreshing drink.

Note: Hibiscus is used in herbal medicine to lower blood pressure. If you take blood pressure medications, you may want to limit yourself to one or two glasses a day until you know how it affects you.
